A framework for developing applications that require an extremely flexible business process.

This is a horizontal framework that addresses the needs of many enterprises across multiple industries struggling with streamlining unstructured processes, meeting compliance regulations and gaining visibility into their processes. It does this by allowing organizations to start without being forced to define upfront processes. Solutions created with this framework enables organizations to define activities and put them in an order based on the outcome of a previous activity. The movement along these activities are primarily controlled by people instead of predefined rules.

The CMF is built with the concept that the workflow for processing a "case" is essentially ad hoc and heavily user driven. The processing of cases extends to many industries:

• Insurance claims
• Incidents
• Disputes regarding customer invoices and payments
• Loan applications

The CMF can create claims by associating them with documents imported from a document management system (DMS). As these documents are scanned, they are integrated into the CMF via the Document Indexer. It has the following features:

• Viewing of images of documents within the web applications
• Database for storing the images prior to processing and sending to the Case Manager

Delivered by Jaco van Kooten, but we don't know the following about this release:

• Is this a seamless upgrade to the 2.0 release.
• Are the patches and hotfixes associated with the 2.0 release needed for this release.

Version 2 was a complete rework to support the new Maniac application for Fortis. This version was also ported to work on C3.
