A representation of my career, carved up by technology familes†. Started out in embedded systems (orange), but by '97, I switched my focus to Java (purple).

Recently, the skills I use for my projects, like Node.js and Scala, are edging Java over to the side. This graph shows industry-wide trends as well as well as my own.

† If I listed every technology I've used over the last 20 years, I wouldn't see the forest for the trees, so grouping all Java-related technologies under a single "Java" category seemed more clear.
